Just a small town girl trying to make a difference one book at a time.
Hi everyone! I often try to figure out how a girl from a small town in UP Michigan ended up in the big cities of Texas, but here I am! I so love the people here and am even getting used to the heat.
I have always loved children...being from a family of 13 with 40+ grandchildren made that a privilege and a necessity. From babysitting to master degrees I love being a librarian and love my students.
There are only two things we need to know about being a librarian...simplicity and heart. Children do not care what we are wearing, how much we make, or what car we drive. Quite simply, they love to be wanted and to see adults love their world as much as they do. They love stories that speak to them and make them laugh. They love that a book takes them away to another world and we are the keepers of those magical places.
Remember, in the words of The Little Prince, "It is only with the heart that we can see things rightly."
